Our Build
Flotnar Hús is one of the most environmentally efficient builds in Scotland. The property features almost double the insulation required by today’s building standards, high‑performance windows and doors, a solar array with an immersion coil, an air‑to‑water heat pump, and a Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) system.
Our aim
Put simply, we aim to lead the way in reducing carbon emissions — and by choosing to stay with us, you’ll be contributing to that effort as well. We’ve recently installed two 7kW EV charge points for guest use, and our next step is introducing a battery storage system to further increase the utilisation of energy generated by our solar panels.
EV Charging
We have 2 7.2kW electric car chargers you can use for £0.40/kWh
To use the charger, follow these steps:
1. Scan the QR code in the property
2. Plug in your car into the charger.
3. Choose how long you want to charge for
4. Pay for it and wait for the charger to start**
You will only be charged at the end of the charge session for the exact amount of electricity you used.
